Cops After Two Suspects In Armed Robbery Of Foster Avenue Deli
After two men held up a Foster Avenue deli at gunpoint on Monday night, the NYPD is turning to the public for help finding the suspects who made off with $600 in cash.
According to police, the two men entered a deli at 1703 Foster Avenue, by E. 17th Street, at 10:28pm on Monday, May 18. One man is caught on surveillance footage displaying a firearm as he approached the register and grabbed the shirt of a 22-year-old male employee and demanded money, according to the NYPD. The second suspect walked to the back of the shop and attempted to walk behind the store’s counter where a second employee, a 57-year-old male, struggled with the robber, police said.
Both suspects fled the deli after grabbing $600 from the cash register, according to the NYPD.
There were no reported injuries during the robbery, police said.
Police described the first suspect as a black male who is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, black pants and a black hat.
Police said the second suspect is a black male who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 175 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue and black long-sleeve shirt, blue pants, and a black and blue baseball hat.
