Construction To Close Staircases At 7th Ave/9th Street Subway Entrance

Work at two of the 7th Avenue F/G subway station entrances will cause the staircases on opposite corners to be closed for about three months. Starting this Monday, August 19 and continuing through Tuesday, November 19, commuters won’t be able to access the entrances on the southeast (by the Betancourt real estate office) and northwest (by the Brooklyn Industries) corners.

Further up 9th Street, work on other staircases at this station has already begun. Here’s hoping that any small inconvenience this brings leads to nice improvements in the station.
