The Coney Island Amphitheater hasn’t even been built and already the venue has some big acts scheduled to perform there this summer.

Tickets for the open-air entertainment space are already on sale on the Amphitheater’s website. The listings show that performers like Ziggy Marley, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Boston, and Don Henley are showing up for the theater’s first summer in Coney Island. The Beach Boys, who visited Brooklyn’s newly renovated Kings Theatre earlier this year, will play at the Amphitheater on the Fourth of July.

Construction crews are rushing to have the theater ready by late June. The first show, headlined by Ziggy Marley, is scheduled for June 25.

The 5,000-seat amphitheater, backed by a $60 million investment by the city, involves the rehabilitation of the landmarked Childs Restaurant. When it’s completed, the building will have 50-foot-tall doors that open the stage to an open-air seating area. The doors can be closed when the weather is less favorable to outdoor entertainment, allowing the theater to host shows year-round.

Among the other acts scheduled to visit the new space this summer: Impractical Jokers, the team behind the prank/improv show of the same name on truTV, Slightly Stoopid, the California-based ska-punk band, Jane’s Addiction, and Hollywood Vampires, the rock group formed by Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, and Joe Perry.
