Con Edison Work Blocks Northern End Of Stratford Road

Con Edison workers are currently set up on Stratford Road from the just north of Turner Place to just south of Albemarle, blocking off vehicle traffic to that stretch of the street.

More problematic than the relatively short length of road officially blocked off, though, is Stratford as well as Turner and Hinckley Places all being one-way streets. Drivers who pass Beverley on Stratford will be forced to reverse back down the road back onto Beverley, or possibly go west down Turner or Hinckley, both of which are designed only to accomodate eastbound traffic.

Construction isn’t expected to continue past today, but if you’re planning to drive through the neighborhood soon, don’t go north of Beverley on Stratford.
