Coming up in April from Community Board 14:

Public Hearings
Wednesday, April 4, 7pm
CB14 District Office, 810 East 16th Street
Two special permit applications, one for a “physical culture establishment” at 1024 Flatbush Ave, the other to enlarge 1232 East 27th Street in a zone that only permits detached single-family residences. Also on tap is the proposal for converting Dorman Square into a pedestrian plaza.

Regular Monthly Meeting
Monday, April 16, 7:15pm

The meeting starts early to accommodate a public discussion of  the Citywide Statement of Needs for Fiscal Years 2013 and 2014, none of which much apply to our district. Youth Services Committee

Finalization of plans for Community Board 14’s Fifth Annual Youth Conference, which is coming up on May 2.

Human Services Committee
Wednesday, April 25, 7pm
CB14 District Office, 810 East 16th Street
Larry Jayson, Executive Director, Brooklyn Housing and Family Services will give a report on tenants’ rights and fair housing rights. There will be a presentation on the Brooklyn Neighborhood Report and work with the Brooklyn Community Foundation. Finally, Midwood Development Corportation will discuss building a non-profit network of community based organizations.
