Community Board 11 Chairman William Guarinello Helps Raise 720K For Charity

 William Guarinello, President and CEO of HeartShare Human Services of New York and Chairman of Community Board 11 helped raise $720K at a recent gala for New Yorkers in need.

HeartShare is an organization that assists people with wide array of services, including education programs for individuals with autism spectrum disorders, adult day programs, housing for adults with developmental disabilities, family support services, foster care and adoption services, and more.

“I am so grateful to everyone who supported our Gala in anyway, through sponsorship, tickets, journal ads, or the silent auction, both donating to and bidding on items,” said Guarinello. “I also want to acknowledge all the volunteers who gave of their time to help HeartShare.”

On hand to help HeartShare celebrate and receive honors for outstanding community service were Tony Danza, actor, Gerard McGraw, President of Fidelity Institutional, Kenneth D. Daly,President of National Grid New York, and Anthony Marcelli, Co-owner of Classie Sounds, Inc.

Celebrating its 98th year, HeartShare gives 90 percent of the money they raise to funding their community service programs.
