Coming Up At Prospect Park: Revolutionary New York & W.I.L.D.
Two fantastic family events are fast approaching this month in Prospect Park:
- On Sunday, April 14, Revolutionary New York is presenting a “Battle of Brooklyn” program in which Urban Park Rangers will discuss important people, places, and events responsible for shaping New York City during the pre- and post-Colonial period. The program will be held at 1pm in Prospect Park’s Audubon Center. For more information, call 718-421-2021.
- W.I.L.D will hold a Lakeside cleanup and visitor outreach program on Sunday, April 28 from 2-4pm. The organization aims to educate the public about the flora and fauna in Prospect Park, identify threats to the park’s ecosystem, and preserve a healthy environment so Brooklynites can coexist with wildlife safely for years to come. Meet the W.I.L.D. team at the park’s new “Pop-Up Audubon,” next to the Binnen Bridge. For more information, email info@wildforprospectpark.com.
