There will be no Clinton Hill House Tour this year, due to a lack of homeowner interest and volunteer elbow grease, announced representatives of the Society for Clinton Hill at their April 22 meeting.

The popular tour usually occurs every other year, bringing architecture, socialite history buffs, and vicarious househunters from across the city to peek inside Clinton Hill and Wallabout’s 19th century mansions and brownstones once owned by the likes of the Pfizers and Pratts, The tour also serves as a fundraiser for the Society.

But this year, there were only two homeowners interested, as “maybes,” and the tour needed at least six confirmed to go forward, said board member Rosaria Sinisi at last week’s meeting.

A replacement fundraising event will be held in the autumn, details and location TBD.
