Clerk Stabbed During Robbery Of Borough Park Liquor Store

A 29-year-old clerk was stabbed multiple times by a man attempting to rob a Borough Park liquor store on New Years Eve.

According to reports, a man entered Yossi’s Wine and Liquor Store on 18th Avenue and 57th Street at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday and began asking questions about various products. He asked about an item behind the counter, and when the clerk turned around, the man stabbed him several times around the head and neck. The clerk was the only person in the store at the time, and the suspect grabbed cash before fleeing.

The victim was taken to Lutheran Trauma Center, where he was treated for his injuries and released.

Police are now hunting for the assailant, who is described as a white male, possibly of Russian descent, and approximately six feet tall. He wore a long black jacket.
