CityParks Senior Fitness: Free Fall Programs To Help Seniors Stay Active

CONEY ISLAND/MARINE PARK/FORT GREENE – This Fall, City Parks Foundation is offering hundreds of New Yorkers aged 60 and above free sports programs in 16 neighborhood parks and recreational facilities across the city.

The senior fitness programs kicked off last month and will continue through Friday, October 26. Activities take place twice a week and all necessary equipment will be provided to participants.

Tennis Lessons
Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am
Kaiser Park, Coney Island
Meet at the Tennis Courts (Neptune Avenue & Bayview Avenue)

Yoga
Mondays and Wednesdays at 9am
Marine Park
Meet at the Nature Center (Avenue U & E 32nd Street)

Yoga
Wednesdays and Fridays at 11am
South Oxford Park, Fort Greene
South Oxford Street & Atlantic Avenue

Over the summer, City Parks Foundation provided free sports instruction, coaching, and equipment to more than 12,000 kids at NYC parks in all five boroughs, helping them stay active and healthy over the summer while learning new sports and meeting new friends. This Fall, the organization will host free kids programs in golf (ages 6-17), track & field (ages 8-14), and street hockey (ages 8-12). Click here to learn more.
