City Pools Will Open Next Week (and it can’t come soon enough)

Brooklyn Based just published a nice guide to the borough’s public pools. Tragically, they won’t be open for another week (the season kicks off 6/28) — till then, comfort yourself with the fantasy of what it would be like to go swimming.
There aren’t any city pools in Park Slope proper, but when the time comes, you don’t have to stray far: the closest options are the Sunset Park pool (7th Avenue and 43rd St.) and Double D Pool in Gowanus (Douglass and Nevins). A bit further afield but also worth noting: Williamsburg’s long-dorment McCarren Park Pool, dry since 1984, will be back in action this year.
