City Kid Connect: What Are You Thankful For?

We’re officially one week out from Thanksgiving, and the leaves on our family’s thankful tree are filled with the sweet (and sometimes hilarious) things that our 5-year-old son is thankful for.

Now it’s your turn, Brooklyn. For this month’s City Kid Connect, we asked kids from around the borough for three things that they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Here’s what they had to say:

“I’m thankful for my family, my friends, and for the education I have.” — Meaghan, age 12

Mila Considine (Courtesy Catalina Considine)

“I am thankful for my family, the trees — because thanks to them we can breath and so many houses are made out of wood — and thankful for all the people who lived before me and invented things that I use now.” — Mila, age 9

“I’m thankful that my mom reads to me and give me breaks when I do homework. I’m also thankful for my toys and video games.” — Ryan, age 6

Elia Considine (Courtesy Catalina Considine)

“I am thankful for my family because they always cook great things for me, thankful for my friends because they are so nice, and thankful for my house in Cabo because it has a front and a back yard.” — Elia, age 6
