CIA Traffic Update

Week eleven. If you feel the blocked lane on Coney Island Avenue is a problem, send an email about it to Community Board 12 at bkcb12@gmail.com. Explain why you think it is unsafe, request that they ask for the 66th’s assistance with the problem, and feel free to include the following link to 11 weeks’ worth of photos documenting the problems: /?s=%22cia+traffic%22

“See any improvement?” asks reader alsivi, who sent in the photos below. “The sign store uses the No Standing zone as free parking.”

Since we’re always pointing out the bad along this stretch, thanks to reader Bob P., who took a moment to commend one of the businesses for doing the right thing:

I did business with and spoke to Pedro of Coney Island Auto Glass, 742 Coney Island Ave., today.  When I mentioned the blog, he said he is aware of the problem, and keeps his (as opposed to M & M Auto Glass, with the sign in the street), property clear of vehicles.  He says he cleans in front of his shop 3 times a day, and has secured the shop next door for parking.
The service I got was well done and reasonable, these guys are the ultimate recyclers!
