How To Nab Your Pass For Drink Discounts, Prix Fixe Dinners & More For The FDC’s Eat & Shop Your Heart Out Cortelyou
Neighbors, it’s time to clear your calendars and get ready for a month-long noshing and shopping extravaganza.
Flatbush Development Corporation is kicking off its “Eat & Shop Your Heart Out Cortelyou” come March 1 – and the month-long celebration of our neighborhood businesses includes discounts on drinks, special prix fixe dinners, promotions at boutiques, and more.
Each week, there will be a different theme for the celebration, which puts the spotlight on businesses along Cortelyou between Coney Island Avenue and E. 17th Street, and the themes include: a Pub Tour (March 1-7), Prix Fixe Dinners (March 8-14), Sandwich Spectacular (March 15-21), and Shop & Save (March 22-28).
“Eat & Shop Your Heart Out Cortelyou is such an important event in our community as it provides our merchants a tremendous opportunity to highlight their businesses and offerings while connecting with the local community in a fun and engaging way,” said FDC Executive Director Robin Redmond.
During the month’s festivities, this is what you’ll be able to look forward to:
- For the (self guided) Pub Tour, you’ll be able to sip on discounted drinks at: Bar Chord, Sycamore, Highbury Pub, Lea, The Castello Plan, and Purple Yam.
- The restaurants that will be offering special prix fixe dinners include: The Farm on Adderley, The Castello Plan, San Remo Pizzeria & Restaurant, Purple Yam, Asya, Cinco De Mayo, and Lea.
- As for the sandwich specials? You’ll be able to get those at Café Madeline, Catskill Bagel, Connecticut Muffin, Hartwell Vegetarian, Qathra, Superior Late Nite Deli, Salahi Deli, and Father & Son Deli.
- And, for the final week, these shops will be offering some killer deals: Gabe’s Camera City, Brooklyn Industries, Flatbush Food Co-op, Grace Eyecare, Brooklyn ARTery, Sacred Vibes Apothecary, Latin Fever Dance Studio, Natural Frontier Market, T.B. Ackerson Wine Merchants, Cortelyou Craft Beer, Cortelyou Market by Key Food, Cortelyou Hardware, Greenfield Pharmacy, Junior’s Barber Shop, R&R Meats, Third Root, Kaos Computing, Stems, Jennifer’s Beauty World, Element Beauty Lounge, R & B’s Mane Shop, John Reilly Custom Framing, MetroPCS, and 1620 Cortelyou Cleaners.
To receive the various deals, you’ll need to pick up an Eat & Shop Pass – which you can do from any of the participating merchants. When you pick it up, you can enter a grand prize raffle – each of the participating merchants are pitching in an item from each of their businesses for what’s basically going to be the world’s greatest gift basket.
We’ll be posting more information about the various deals throughout the month – so stay tuned!
