Never Been to Puppetworks? Now’s the Time!

Puppetworks, which has been bringing entertaining puppetry performances to Park Slope for more than 25 years, could really use your help right now. A large part of their business comes from weekday shows for school groups, and with schools closed all last week, they’ve had cancellations by school from all over the city.

That’s where you come in. Puppetworks also has shows open to the public, so if you’ve never been, or if you have and you know how great it is, now is the time to visit!

In addition to their regular weekend shows, they are holding weekday after-school shows, and offering weekday after-school or evening parties. They’ll also have shows this Monday, November 12 – another day off from school for Veterans Day. Performances include Hansel and Gretel; and Punch & Judy introduce 3 Classic Stories: The 3 Wishes, The Ugly Duckling, and The 3 Little Pigs.

“Although we are a non profit theater that accepts donations,” they note on their Facebook page, “we much prefer to make our way by having people here in our theater, seeing and enjoying our shows.”

Puppetworks is located at 338 6th Avenue, at 4th Street. Check out their site and call 718-965-3391 more information.
