Cheap Park Slope Eats: $5 Slice & Beer At Piccola Uva
Piccola Uva: Slice & Beer

Looking for a place to sit down for a quick bite and drink on the cheap? With its open doors and television playing soccer matches, Piccola Uva, the pizza shop and wine bar that opened late last year on 7th Avenue, is a good choice on a cool summer evening.

Piccola Uva: Happy Hour Board

They feature a slice of pizza and a beer (Peroni, Stella Artois, or Brooklyn Lager) for $5 at all hours. The beer is cold, and the slice is a generous size. While it’s perhaps not our favorite pizza in the Slope — the crust is a bit too doughy, and not as crisp as we’d like to see out of a brick oven — it’s still a good deal, plus the space is great for people watching, and the staff is very friendly. Do keep in mind that the price doesn’t include tax and tip.

Piccola Uva is located at 161 7th Avenue, between Garfield and 1st. They’re open for lunch between 11:30am and 4pm, and then for dinner through 10pm (Monday-Thursday) and through midnight (Friday and Saturday). They offer a happy hour from 3-6pm daily.
