Chaos At Barclays Center As Fans Without Tickets Try To Crash Concert

BARCLAYS CENTER – Chaos erupted outside the Barclays Center Thursday evening as fans without tickets to the Power 105.1 Powerhouse 2017 concert tried to force their way into the venue.

The sold out show featured popular acts including The Weeknd, Migos, Cardi B, and French Montana. Barclays Center security and the NYPD locked the entrance doors to stop the crowds outside from rushing the stadium, shutting out even those who had tickets to the event, according to Patch.

Barclays Center reportedly will reimburse ticket holders who were not allowed into last night’s show. The venue issued a statement saying, “For the ticket holders whose tickets were not scanned, refunds will be available at the point of purchase.”

Some people at the scene took to social media to express their frustrations, saying they were pepper sprayed during the chaos.

A police representative said Friday morning that no arrests were made during the melee and no injuries were reported. She also denied claims that pepper spray was used during the incident, saying those reports “are false.”
