Changes To Local Subway Lines This Weekend
Subway: F train at 4th Ave 9th St Station


It’s the last weekend for February’s F and G train disruptions at 4th Avenue/9th Street! Here’s what else to watch for in our area if you’re hitting the rails:

5 trains replace the 4 in Manhattan and Brooklyn
Weekends, 3:30am Saturday, February 22 to 10pm Sunday, February 23
5 trains make all 4 stops in Manhattan and Brooklyn as follows: Days, service operates between Dyre Av and the Utica Av 3/4 station; late nights, service operates between Dyre Av and the New Lots Av 3 station, making local stops. There is no 4 service during this time.

Coney Island-bound F trains and Church Av-bound G trains skip 4 Av-9 St, 15 St-Prospect Park, and Ft Hamilton Pkwy
Weekends, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, until February 24
For service to these stations, take the F or G to 7 Av or Church Av and transfer to a Queens-bound F or G. For service from these stations, take the F or G to 7 Av or Smith-9 Sts and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F or Church Av-bound G.

Astoria-bound N trains run via the D from Stillwell Av to 36 St
Weekends, 6:45am to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday, February 22-23
Trains run express, stopping at Bay 50 St, Bay Pkwy, 62 St-New Utrecht Av, and 9 Av.

Coney Island-bound Q platforms at Parkside Av, Beverley Rd and Cortelyou Rd closed for renovation
All times, beginning 11:45pm Friday, February 21 until early summer

Coney Island-bound Q trains skip Avenue H, Avenue J, and Avenue M
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday, February 21 to 5am Monday, February 24

No R trains between Lower Manhattan and Downtown Brooklyn
All times until October 2014
No R service at City Hall, Cortlandt, Rector, Whitehall, Court Streets, and Jay Street-MetroTech. R service operates between Forest Hills-71st Avenue and Bay Ridge-95th Street. Trains run via the Q in both directions between Canal Street and DeKalb Avenue.

Plus, there are additional changes to look out for further up the F and R lines in Queens.
