Celebrate The Holidays Friday In Newkirk Plaza

The Flatbush Development Corporation and the Newkirk Plaza Merchants Association are hosting a holiday celebration in the plaza on Thursday, December 17, from 6-8pm.
Activities include a tree lighting ceremony, pictures with Santa, light refreshments and food samplings from some of the local businesses, and live dance performances and caroling.
In addition to the holiday activities, the event will also be a drop off location for FDC’s canned food drive to benefit the local food pantry at Our Lady of Refuge, and FDNY’s Fire Safety team will be on location to distribute free smoke and carbon monoxide alarms as part of their #GetAlarmedNYC campaign.
