Oktoberfest may be winding down, but that doesn’t mean that the fun is going anywhere. Both of Fort Greene’s German biergartens are hosting events and special deals this week to celebrate.

First, Die Stammkneipe/Der Schwarze Kölner (aka DSK, at 710 Fulton Street) is holding a weeklong happy hour to benefit Brooklyn Hospital Center. From September 27 through Saturday, October 3, DSK will donate a $1 from the sale of every Paulaner to the hospital foundation.

Also, tonight, September 30, from 5:30-7:30pm, Brooklyn Hospital is hosting a physician/public happy hour at DSK, where there will be a raffle for items from Greene Grape and Greenlight Bookstore up as prizes.

Then, this Friday, October 2 at 7pm, make sure to mark your calendars for Black Forest Brooklyn’s (733 Fulton Street) massive Oktoberfest party, which will feature the return of Balkan brass funk band Slavic Soul Party, as well as a keg-tapping ceremony (with free beer from the first keg!) and a mug-holding competition with prizes. It costs $10 for entry at the door.

See you there! Prost!
