Celebrate Super Bowl Sunday at Our Local Watering Holes

Celebrate Super Bowl Sunday at Our Local Watering Holes
Freddy's Super Bowl

Are you ready for some football? The Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers are going head to head this Sunday at 6:30pm, and South Slope bars are definitely hopping.

No surprise here, Freddy’s (627 5th Ave) will be showing the game on their HD big screen. Even if you’re not a big fan of the gridiron action, stop by for the chili contest (free tasting during half-time). The winner of the face-off gets to take home a beautiful bottle of Jameson, so if you’re interested in participating, sign up at the bar now.

Prospect (545 5th Ave) is showing the game on their 6 foot projection screen (nice), and is offering complimentary chili at half-time.

In honor of the Harbaugh brothers Cain and Abel showdown on Super Bowl Sunday, The Owl Farm (297 9th Street), will offer Two Brothers Bitter End for $5 pint, or $15 a pitcher all night long. They’ll also have Narragansett pitchers for $12.

Mary’s Bar (708 5th Ave) has FREE POOL all night, happy hour special on just about everything under the sun, $5 Drink, $5 PBR and a shot, and they say that, “most importantly Mele behind the bar and the company is awesome.”

Skylark (477 5th Ave) has Buffalo wings. That’s enough, right? They’ve also got drink specials and The Good Fork menu to help sweeten the deal.

Greenwood Park (555 7th Ave) is a definite hot spot. Tailgating starts in the yard at 3pm. .50 wings, $5 pints, and $15 pitchers of Brooklyn Lager. If you’re feeling lucky, they’re also having a raffle for a big screen TV, Valentines Day date night package, booze, and baskets of sweets. Sweet.

The Monro Pub (481 5th Ave) will be showing the “American Throwball League Finale” at 6:30pm, but is starting off early at 11am for the Liverpool/Manchester City match. Go make a day of it.

Are we missing anyone? Let us know in the comments.
