This Friday, August 22, you and your kids can relish these last days of August with a free summer-themed dance program from Alden LaPaglia (of the Alden Moves Dance Theater) at the Cortelyou Library (1305 Cortelyou Road).

Children ages three to nine are welcome to attend the event that runs from 2:15pm to 5:15pm and will include three programs for different age groups. While it is free, space is limited and you must register online here. Should the event sell out, you may email info@aldenmovesbk.com to be placed on a waiting list.

During the program,  children will be able to “turn up the heat with cool summer favorites, like the Surfaris, Martha and the Vandellas, and the Beach Boys,” Alden wrote on the event’s website.

“As in all dance programs, Sunshine Days incorporates infectious music and fanciful explorations of rhythm, movement and quality, and space,” Alden wrote. “Guests can join us at the end for a mini-performance that will really take you back!”
