Celebrate Pride Week With These Brooklyn Events


It’s time to let your rainbow flag fly!

Pride week kicked off yesterday with a party at The Rock Shop and LGBTQ events are happening all week leading up to the parade on Saturday.

We’ve got a list of some of the Pride events happening across the borough for you here, and you can find out more by visiting the official Brooklyn Pride website.

Pride Reception
When: Monday, June 8, 6pm
Where: Brooklyn Borough Hall, 6209 Joralemon Street
What: Borough President Eric Adams honors the local LGBTQ community and a reception with music follow.

“Everybody in Love” Art Exhibit and Open House
When: Tuesday, June 9, 6-9pm
Where: Brooklyn Community Pride Center, 4 Metrotech Plaza
What: Learn about the work that the Brooklyn Community Pride Center does and enjoy refreshments, community and art.

Interfaith Service
When: Wednesday, June 10, 7pm
Where: Brooklyn Heights Synagogue, 131 Remsen Street
What: A spiritual group comprised of varying faiths will come together for a worship services for the LGBTQ community.

“Matt Shepard Is A Friend Of Mine” Screening
When: Thursday, June 11, 6:30pm
Where: The Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway
What: Come watch the winner of four Best Documentary awards, followed by a panel discussion about the film and media coverage of hate crimes.

Queer Memoir with Kelli Dunham
When: Friday, June 12, 6:30pm
Where: AHF/Out of the Closet, 475 Atlantic Avenue, 2nd Floor
What: New York’s first and longest running LGBT storytelling series gives voice to the collective queer experience. Tonight’s theme is strength.
