Celebrate Black History Month at a Concert at Flatbush-Tompkins

In celebration of Black History Month, the Spiritual Support Group and the Music Committee of Flatbush-Tompkins Congregational Church are presenting Oh Freedom!, a program of music commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington.

The evening’s performances feature George Davey, musician/interim choir director; Lloyd Moore, bass; Thomas Postley, drums/percussion; the Flatbush-Tompkins Congregational Church Chancel Choir; Cherub Choir, Silent Note; Iris Felice Harris, soprano; Alfred Morris, tenor; Jo Morris, alto; and Daryl Davis, bass.

The event is on Saturday, February 16 at 7pm at the church at 424 East 19th Street. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and children 18 years of age and under. For more info, call 718-282-5353.
