Tonight is the November meeting of the Community Education Council for School District 13 and the last formal presentation from the Department of Education about the rezoning proposal for PS 8 and PS 307.

The meeting is at 6:30pm tonight at the Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women (283 Adams Street).

As CEC13 notes, “

this will be a formal proposal but NO VOTE will occur at this meeting. Public comment is welcome at the meeting, and the PS 8 and PS 307 rezoning is but one of several high priority topics to be discussed.”

Also, FYI, the final Middle School Forum will be next Monday, November 30 at 6:30pm at PS 11 (419 Waverly Avenue). Among the agenda topics is getting “parent input and ideas for the redesign of MS 313 and to discuss more generally what parents need and want in District 13 middle schools. . . “T

his is your chance to have your voice heard. It’s never too soon, or your children too young, to think about middle school! You can also submit comments via the CEC website at http://cec13.org/hot-topics/dock-street-building/.”
