CAVA Mediterranean Eatery Opens Today With Free Meals For First 100 Guests

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN – CAVA, a Washington, DC-based fast-casual Mediterranean eatery will celebrate its grand opening Thursday, February 21 at 345 Adams Street (north of Willoughby Plaza) by offering free meals to the first 100 guests starting at 10:45am.

Founded by three childhood friends—Ike Grigoropoulos, Ted Xenohristos, and Chef Dimitri Moshovitis—CAVA offers authentic Greek and Mediterranean flavors that the trio grew up with. Customers can customize their meals by selecting a base (grain, pita, salad); choosing a spread or dip (Harissa, hummus, tzatziki); picking a protein (beef or lamb meatballs, chicken, falafel, veggies); and adding toppings (crumbled feta, Kalamata olives, pita crisps) and dressing (green Harissa, lemon herb tahini, Sriracha greek yogurt).

The company has 75 locations throughout the east coast, Southern California, and Texas. There are six CAVA outposts in Manhattan. The new Adams Street storefront will be their first in Brooklyn.

Along with offering free lunch today, the Downtown Brooklyn location will also host a “Community Day,” collecting donations for Grow To Learn, an organization providing resources, technical assistance, and training to support NYC school gardens since 2010.

CAVA also crafts a variety of dips and spreads that are available at Whole Foods and other grocery stores.

If you work in the Downtown area, stop by CAVA for lunch today and welcome them to Brooklyn.
