Cast Your District 39 Participatory Budgeting Vote Starting Tuesday

Want to enjoy an outdoor storytelling space at the library? Think PS 124 students should have a cafeteria they won’t melt in? Would you like more turnstiles at the 7th Avenue F/G subway station? Then be sure to vote in Councilmember Brad Lander‘s participatory budgeting process!

The fourth year of participatory budgeting in District 39 gives residents 14 years of age and older the opportunity to choose between projects they’d like to see receive a combined $1.5 million in funding. Take a look at the 13 projects on the ballot, then make time to vote for your top five starting tomorrow.

Get complete details on the projects in person at the PB Expo and Vote Kickoff on Tuesday, April 14 from 6:30-8:30pm at Camp Friendship, 339 8th Street. While there, you can also cast your vote, plus enjoy food and music!

If you can’t make it tomorrow night, voting will be held on Thursday, April 16, Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19 in locations throughout the district (including at the Armory, 361 15th Street, on Sunday from 10am-6pm). Voting will also be held Tuesday, April 14 through Thursday, April 16 at Brad Lander’s office, 456 5th Avenue, 3rd Floor.

Voting in Councilmember Carlos Menchaca’s District 38, which also covers part of our area, began over the weekend and continues through Sunday.
