Cast Your District 39 Participatory Budgeting Vote Starting Tuesday
Want to enjoy an outdoor storytelling space at the library? Think PS 179 could use a better auditorium? Would you like a stormwater greenstreet in Windsor Terrace? Then be sure to vote in Councilmember Brad Lander‘s participatory budgeting process!
The fourth year of participatory budgeting in District 39 gives residents 14 years of age and older the opportunity to choose between projects they’d like to see receive a combined $1.5 million in funding. Take a look at the 13 projects on the ballot, then make time to vote for your top five starting tomorrow.
Get complete details on the projects in person at the PB Expo and Vote Kickoff on Tuesday, April 14 from 6:30-8:30pm at Camp Friendship, 339 8th Street. While there, you can also cast your vote, plus enjoy food and music!
If you can’t make it tomorrow night, voting will be held on Thursday, April 16, Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19 in locations throughout the district, including at:
- Councilman Brad Lander’s office (456 5th Avenue, third floor): Tuesday, April 14 through Thursday, April 16, 8am-7pm.
- The Windsor Terrace Library (160 E. 5th Street at Fort Hamilton Parkway): Saturday, April 18, 10am-6pm.
- PS 230’s Upper School (1 Albemarle Road at McDonald Avenue): Sunday, April 19, 10am-6pm.
