Cash For Guns Program At St. Paul's Church On August 10
The 70th Precinct sends word that the Cash for Guns program is coming to our area on Saturday, August 10, from 10am to 4pm at Saint Paul’s Church, 157 Saint Paul’s Place at Church Ave. Anyone can turn in a gun in exchange for a bank card — $200 for an operable handgun or assault rifle, $20 for an operable rifle or shotgun — no questions asked, and you can turn in as many guns as you wish.
Earlier this week, the city detailed a renewed effort to get guns of the street with this program, which has collected more than 8,000 firearms since 2008. The Daily News reports that the City Council and the NYPD will split the cost of the $300,000 plan to host 10 buy back programs this year.
