Care For Local Greenery This Sunday With The wKAG Street Tree Brigade

This Sunday, September 15, the West Kensington Action Group will be cleaning and greening Kensington Plaza–and you’re invited!

Volunteers can join the wKAG at the Plaza from 12-2pm in front of Walgreens (114 Beverley Road at Church Avenue) in putting their 2013 mini-grant from Million Trees NYC to good use, adding compost to soil, mulching, planting flowers, and picking up trash. Light snacks and water will be on hand.

In addition to making the neighborhood a little more beautiful, all volunteers will be entered to win prizes including gardening tools, leather gardening gloves, and more.
