Car & Ambulance Crash Blocks Traffic On Lafayette Avenue
A car and ambulance collided on Lafayette Avenue near South Elliott Place this afternoon, leading to multiple traffic issues on local blocks. The FDNY says a call came in for the incident at 2:57pm. Several firefighters and emergency vehicles are currently on scene.
A witness told us the car in question was pulling out of a parking space when it was hit by the SeniorCare vehicle, but that no one appeared to have been hurt. “It’s more of a financial pain,” he said.
The FDNY confirms they have not had to transport anyone with injuries as of press time, but drivers should be prepared to face some congestion if they’re driving in the area in the near future.
