Car Accident on Beverley Injures Cyclist

An accident at the intersection of Beverley and Marlborough this afternoon at about 3pm left several cars damaged and a cyclist injured. Neighbor Stephan says a man driving a maroon SUV ran a red light while heading north on Marlborough, and slammed into a BMW, which was being driven by his son:

His son was driving east on Beverly and the impact drove his car around 180 degrees, sending him careening into a parked car which was demolished. After the impact, the big maroon SUV with the nut behind the wheel couldn’t stop, mounted the sidewalk hitting a fellow on a bicycle on Beverly just east of the corner, knocking the guys bike over the hedge and leaving him lying in the hedge, hurt. Another vehicle, a bright red SUV travelling west on Beverly, was hit by the son’s BMW as it spun out of control. The medics took the injured guy away while the police were getting all stories; I left then, but as I did, the driver of the big Maroon was spinning a tale even though his own son, who was injured, was yelling “he was trying to kill me”.

We’re trying to track down information about the condition of the cyclist, but if anyone knows anything more, let us know in the comments.
