Owner Kitty Hernandez is trying to convert the 4th Ave event space from party venue into full-time bar and restaurant, but not everyone is happy about it. According to the Brooklyn Paper, Garfield’s has had some trouble in the past, making some neighbors hesitant about its potential transition — but on the other hand, a fresh start may be just what the place needs. Hernandez is even considering a name change to go with her plan: “Someone suggested Hurricane Kitty’s,” she told the paper. “I think it’s adorable.”
