Camping With The Family In Prospect Park On September 19

Ever wanted to go camping in Prospect Park? Ever wanted to sleep under the stars in your neighborhood?

Your chance is coming up on Saturday, September 19 when the Urban Park Rangers run their annual family-friendly program where kids can learn about the basics of camping, and the Rangers provide dinner.

Registration is limited to 30 spots, and selection is done by an online lottery — or if you can’t get to a computer, you can call 718-421-2021 between 10am-4pm to have your name entered. The lottery opens on Wednesday, September 9, and is open for 24 hours. A list of names is randomly computer generated, and if you’re picked, you will get a phone call to confirm.

Keep in mind that the rangers permit only one registration entry per household per program. If you enter more than once, you will be disqualified from the lottery.
