Thanks to a friend of neighbors Stacy and Jayson Greene, whose 2-year-old daughter, Greta Greene, passed away following a tragic accident last week, we’ve learned this fundraising campaign has been launched to help support the Greene family.

“In an effort to help provide relief for her parents, Stacy and Jayson, from the unexpected and significant expenses they are sustaining in this tragic moment, we are launching this campaign in memory of Greta,” the campaign’s website states.

The fundraiser  has already generated much support, with 123 people donating more than $8,000 in just three days.

Greta died Monday, May 18 after bricks from a building at 305 West End Avenue on the Upper West Side fell on the little girl who is described in her New York Times obituary as “sensitive, intuitive and aware from the moment she opened her eyes” and a “bright light to all who knew her.”

The campaign remembers Greta with love, describing her on the website as “a quick learner” who “seemed to understand that the world could be a very funny, delightful place, if you looked at it right.”
