Camp in Prospect Park

Every year the Urban Park Rangers do a cool program where people have a chance to camp in parks around the city, and your last chance for a Prospect Park camping night is coming up on Saturday, August 25. It’s a family-friendly event, where kids can learn about the basics of camping, and the Rangers provide dinner.

There are only 30 spots available, and selection is done by an online lottery, or if you can’t get to a computer, you can call 718-421-2021 between 10am-4pm to have your name entered. The lottery opens tomorrow, Wednesday, August 15, and is open for 24 hours. A list of names is randomly computer generated, and if you’re picked, you will get a phone call to confirm.
