Calling All Street Performers! Auditions For Coney Island ‘Showstopper’ Series Held This Weekend

The Alliance for Coney Island is proud to announce the premiere of Showstopper Sundays in Coney Island, which will run Sunday’s July 10 – August 14 on Coney Island’s Riegelmann Boardwalk!

Live auditions for performers will be held this Saturday, May 28th at Dreamland Plaza on West 12th Street and the Boardwalk from 12pm – 3pm. Submissions have been received from bands, solo musicians, and street performers who can fill at least a 30-minute set.

The lucky performers who are selected will have the opportunity to perform and promote themselves in front of hundreds of thousands of beach goers on Coney Island’s famous Boardwalk. The performers will also receive a small stipend as well as tickets to participating amusements during the Showstopper series.

The Alliance for Coney Island hopes to promote local talent and further enhance the quality of free programming available in Coney Island with the new Showstopper Series. Thirsty Girl Productions will be assisting with the auditions.
