Great news from Buttermilk Bakeshop, 339 7th Avenue (between 9th and 10th Street), whose black and white striped awning appeared earlier this week.

Owner Katie Rosenhouse tweeted on Friday morning that the bakery has passed its inspection, and is set to open on February 1.

Our sweet tooth is officially tingling. Bring on the French macarons!
