BUSHWICK – This week, a man walked into the 1st Precinct Police Station to confess a murder from 2014 in Bushwick.

Police said Ricky Gonzalez, 34, arrived at the Tribeca police station a little before 9:00 pm on Tuesday, August 28 to confess to stabbing a woman to death and then dismembering her corpse in Bushwick four years ago.

Gonzalez, who lives in Beacon, New York, said he killed Maria Quinones at her home, 266 Wilson Avenue, near the Knickerbocker M.

Though Gonzalez confessed to the murder and dismemberment, police have yet to locate the body of Quinones, who was 58 at the time of her death.

Police sources said that Gonzalez and Quinones had lived together and were dating at the time of the murder.

About an hour after he made his confession, police arrested Gonzalez and charged him with murder and concealment of a human corpse.

With the body still missing, police said the investigation into the murder is ongoing.
