A bus driver was suspended without pay after being accused of calling one passenger a “stupid bitch” and flipping her the bird, according to the MTA.

Diana Amirova, of Midwood, said she was attempting to board a crowded B82 bus at Kings Highway and Coney Island Avenue on December 3, when the driver abruptly slammed the door on her hand.

“Other people on the bus were screaming at him that someone was stuck. I know it was crowded but it’s his responsibility to check and see if anyone is still getting on,” Amirova said.

After she boarded, Amirova said the driver accused her of trying to hold the door and berated her for getting on a bus that was overcrowded.

“He said I should have waited for the next one. Then he kept hitting the gas and break to throw me off balance. He was yelling at someone out the window who was double parked. He was really aggravated at everyone. It wasn’t just me,” she said.

Amirova said she used her phone to take a picture of the bus number so she could report the incident. When the driver noticed her snapping photos with her camera, he gave her the finger.

“He saw I took a picture of the bus number and he says: ‘Hey, take a picture of this.’ I was in complete shock,” said Amirova.

The driver then called her a “stupid bitch” and Amirova said she got off a few blocks later to escape the abuse. She reported the incident to police, who advised her to take it up with the MTA.

Amirova also had to go to a hospital because her wrist was swollen from getting caught in the door and she had trouble opening her hand. She said she’s still in pain and is going to physical therapy.

However, what upsets her most is she feels like the MTA hasn’t taken the issue seriously and she isn’t satisfied with the punishment.

“I’ve never had a bus driver show me his middle finger,” she said. “It’s disgusting that the MTA keeps raising the rates and then I’m treated like this.”

Amirova said she’s heard the driver is back on the same route after his suspension ended.

“Every time I get on the bus, I have to look and see who the driver is,” she explained. “I’m in fear of another confrontation.”
