Burglar Stole Jewelry And $4,000 In Cash From Sheepshead Bay Apartment, Police Say

Police are searching for a burglar they say snuck in the through an open window of a Sheepshead Bay residential building on Saturday and stole several items of jewelry as well as $4,000 in cash.

The robbery occurred around 9:30pm at a building near East 24th Street and Voorhies Avenue, according to the NYPD, which released a video showing the suspect rifling through a bedroom’s cabinets and drawers. Besides the cash, police say the thief stole six Gucci watches, four Tag Heuer watches, two bracelets, two pairs of earrings and three wedding rings — all from a single apartment.

The NYPD described the suspect as a male, last seen wearing white sneakers, black jeans and a dark T-shirt with a hooded short sleeve shirt.
