Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at Santander Bank (2357 86th Street) last week.

On the evening of Saturday, March 28, at least one individual hacked through the bank’s basement wall using power tools, police said. The burglar then entered the vault, and removed several items.

A tipster told us her cousin lost all of her jewelry, a gift from her mother who recently died of ALS.

Police said video footage has not been recovered and the value of the stolen items is currently unknown. An investigation is ongoing. We will update this post as we know more.
