There’s a fancy new burger joint coming to Dyker Heights this summer.

Signs for the Florida-based gourmet burger chain BurgerFi have cropped up at 719 86th Street, at the former location of pizza restaurant Bella Luna.

Something between a Bareburger and a Shake Shack, BurgerFi also peddles shakes, wine, topping-laden fries and onion rings, and healthy quinoa burgers on multi-grain buns. The company has 88 locations nation wide including several in Manhattan and upstate New York.

Here’s a bit about BurgerFi’s philosophy, via its website.

You see, we don’t adhere to the practices of industrialized fast food giants. We were started in a gourmet kitchen, by gourmet Chefs. They didn’t know from fast food, so the back of the house looks less like a burger joint, more like a five-star restaurant. When we needed a sauce, our Chefs didn’t call a food supplier. They started chopping. Combining. Cooking.

There are quite a few novelty items on BurgerFi’s menu, including the All-Day Breakfast Burger, which is made with Angus beef, American cheese, bacon, maple syrup, a fried egg, hash browns, grilled onions and ketchup. The restaurant’s classic CEO burger offers something a little more sophisticated, including a double wagyu and brisket blend burger, candied bacon-tomato jam, truffle aioli, and aged swiss cheese.

The eatery is currently hiring burger flippers and servers. Interested applicants can email Jdileo2591@aol.com.
