Brownsville Man Arrested For Fatal February Shooting Of Whitman Resident Kevin Colon

An arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Kevin Colon, who died earlier this year on February 19 of a gunshot wound to the stomach near his apartment on North Portland Street at the Walt Whitman Houses.

Leonaldo Parrado, 21, of Brownsville, was arrested on Saturday, September 19 — seven months to the day after the shooting — and faces charges of second degree murder and second degree criminal possession of a weapon.
