Police said the incident took place just before midnight outside 333 Bristol Street, near Dumont Avenue, and set off a ShotSpotter alert. Two men pulled up in a dark blue SUV, fired shots into a crowd of people in a courtyard, then jumped in the vehicle and sped away.

An 18-year old man, who was shot in the stomach, was transported to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
