Brooklyn Style on Cortelyou Closed by City Marshals

The Brooklyn Style barber shop at 1021 Cortelyou Road, between Coney Island Ave and Stratford, was closed yesterday by City Marshals — according to the sign posted on the gate, there is a warrant in Civil Court against the tenant.

Neighbor Ann, who sent these photos, notes that she has seen a pretty long-haired cat in the shop in the past, and hopes that the tenants have been able to get in there to get the cat. If anyone knows the status of the shop, or the cat, please let us know.
