Brooklyn Smoke Shop Coming Soon To Flatbush Ave

Flatbush Avenue is about to get a new place to buy smokes. A sign posted in the papered-over windows of 198 Flatbush Avenue (between Dean and Bergen), which was most recently home to Je T’aime Shoes, says that “Brooklyn Smoke Shop Powered by Cigar Warehouse” is coming soon.

The shop will be just a few blocks away from another smoke shop — DB Smoke Shop, which has been there for years and recently installed new signage, is located at 65 5th Avenue.

While we’re glad to see something coming into an empty space, particularly on Flatbush Ave where there are still several vacancies, is that too many tobacconists too close together? Or is there enough of a demand to make them both work?
