Brooklyn Public Library Celebrates Summer Reading Thursday

Public schools across the city are closed for Anniversary Day on Thursday, June 6, but Brooklyn Public Library will be bursting at the seams with fun activities to celebrate the official kickoff of Summer Reading. Here’s what you can look forward to at our Park Slope branch (431 6th Avenue at 9th Street):

2-2:30: Arts and Crafts
2:30-3: Suzi Shelton will sing stories
3-3:30: Arts and Crafts
3:30-4: Melanie Hope Greenberg, local author of Mermaids on Parade, about the Coney Island Mermaid Parade
