Brooklyn Oyster Company Opening Soon In Windsor Terrace

If you’ve been by the old Scoopz ice cream shop (and previously Lia’s Ices, which we really miss!) at 471 16th Street just off Prospect Park West in Windsor Terrace lately, you’ll have noticed a sign announcing that the Brooklyn Oyster Company will be taking over the space and opening soon.

As for when, DNAinfo learned that they’re hoping to open within the next month, and added that the owners own a few Manhattan bars, and that they’ll be serving “lobster rolls, oysters, clams, shrimp, and craft beer.”

Until the space is serving, though, we’d love to hear your recommendations for seafood spots in the neighborhood. We’ve already noted our love of the fried oysters and dollar oyster deal at Sea Witch, and we wait all year for the Feast of the Seven Fishes at Giovanni’s, but is there anyplace else you like to go when you’re looking to, as the sign says, “get shucked up?”
