Brooklyn Central Pizzeria Has Closed

Brooklyn Central, the brick oven pizzeria that opened at 289 5th Avenue in 2012, has closed its doors. Though the general manager said the space was not for sale in January, it seems the space has now changed hands six months later.

The windows are papered and the new owner has already begun renovations to the space. No word on what the space will become yet but the owner said they are hoping to open later this year.

We’ll miss the interesting combinations of toppings Brooklyn Central had on its pies but we are looking forward to seeing what moves into the space next.
